From Humble Beginnings to a Thriving Community

1991

The Divine Call

On October 10, 1991, Pastor Chandrakanthan received a miraculous healing from a stroke and heard the voice of Jesus Christ: "I am the true God, Jesus Christ. If you come to me, you will be healed. You must serve me."

1991 ஆம் ஆண்டு அக்டோபர் 10 ஆம் தேதி, போதகர் சந்திரகாந்தன் பக்கவாதத்திலிருந்து அதிசயமான குணமடைந்து இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின் குரலைக் கேட்டார்.

1994

The Church is Founded

Responding to God's call, Tamil Christian Prayer Church was founded. The ministry began at 25 Sewells Road, Scarborough, ON in a rented space — a small beginning for a great vision.

தேவனுடைய அழைப்பிற்கு பதில் அளித்து, தமிழ் கிறிஸ்தவ ஜெப தேவாலயம் 25 Sewells Road, Scarborough இல் தொடங்கப்பட்டது.

1994 – 2020

26 Years of Ministry

For 26 faithful years, the Sewells Road location served as a home of worship, prayer, and fellowship — nurturing generations of Tamil Christian families in Scarborough and the GTA.

June 2020

A New Chapter

By God's grace, the church moved to 190 Silver Star Blvd, Unit 5 & 6, Scarborough, ON M1V 0E5 — a larger space that has allowed us to expand our ministry and serve more families across the GTA.

Continuing the Mission

We continue to serve the Tamil Christian community with bilingual worship in English & Tamil, prayer meetings, youth programs, and community outreach — proclaiming the same Gospel that transformed our founder.

Our Calling

This church was born out of a miraculous encounter with Jesus Christ. After receiving healing from a stroke, Pastor Chandrakanthan heard the voice of the Lord and dedicated his life to serving the Tamil Christian community.

To be a church that brings glory to God through passionate worship, fervent prayer, and faithful service — where every member experiences God's transforming power and becomes a blessing to others.

Called by God in 1994 after a miraculous healing, Pastor Chandrakanthan has faithfully led Tamil Christian Prayer Church for over 30 years — building a vibrant bilingual community rooted in prayer and the Word of God.

1994 இல் அதிசயமான குணமடைதலுக்குப் பிறகு தேவனால் அழைக்கப்பட்டு 30 ஆண்டுகளுக்கும் மேலாக உண்மையுடன் தேவாலயத்தை வழிநடத்துகிறார்.
