Praise the Lord!
I was born in a traditional Hindu Family. My parents and ancestors are very devoted Hindus and was of much service in the Hindu temples. I am the youngest son in a family of seven members. From my early years, I was a very devoted Hindu. I visited many well known Hindu Temples in India like Thirupathi, Palani and I shaved my head as a part of a vow made to a particular deity. I dressed up in saffron-colored habit as a symbol of specific devotion to the Hindu Gods. I met a Saint named Sankarachariar of Kanchipuram twice and received his blessings.
At the age of 25, I fell in love with a Christian girl and married her. In 1979, we moved to West Germany as a family and worked there. We were blessed with two children, a girl and a boy. In 1986, we came to Canada. We were financially stable and bought a house.

நான் ஒரு பாரம்பரிய இந்துக் குடும்பத்திலே பிறந்தவன். மிகவும் பக்தி வைராக்கியத்தோடு இந்துக் கோவில்களில் தொண்டு செய்பவர்கள். நான் எங்கள் குடும்பத்தில் கடைசியாக ஏழாவதாக பிறந்தவன். என் வாலிப வயதிலேயே இந்தியாவில் உள்ள பெரிய இந்து ஆலயங்களாகிய திருப்பதி பழனி ஆகிய கோவில்களில் தலை மொட்டை அடித்து காவி உடுத்தி மிகவும் பத்தனாக இருந்தேன். காஞ்சிபுரத்தில் உள்ள காஞ்சிகாமகோடி சங்கராச்சாரிய சுவாமிகளை இரண்டுமுறை சந்தித்து ஆசீர்வாதம் பெற்றுக்கொண்டவன்.
என்னுடைய 25வது வயதில் ஒரு கிறிஸ்தவப் பெண்ணை காதலித்து திருமணம் செய்தேன். பின்பு 1979ம் ஆண்டில் மேற்கு ஜேர்மனிக்கு குடும்பமாக சென்று வேலை செய்தோம் எங்கட்கு ஒரு பெண்ணும் ஒரு ஆணுமாக இரண்டு குழந்தைகள் பிறந்தார்கள். பின்பு 1986 இல் கனடா வந்தோம். பணவசதி இருந்ததால் வீடும் வாங்கி இருந்தோம்.
On July 24, 1990, I went to work in the morning. After a short while, I felt my tongue becoming numb and my vision slightly blurred. I immediately informed my supervisor, picked up my wife from her workplace, and went to the doctor. They immediately sent me to the Emergency Hospital. The neurologist examined me and said, "This is a Minor Stroke but you are very lucky," and referred me to a Specialist Doctor the next day. The specialist also examined me and said this is a hereditary family disease and there is no medicine for it right now; we can try massage therapy over time. I knew that many in my family had suffered from such ailments and died. Now my left side face, eye, mouth, tongue, etc., stopped functioning.
I prayed to the Hindu gods I worshiped, but there was no benefit even after more than two weeks. During this time, many of our Christian friends told me about Jesus and said that if I came to the Lord, the true God and Healer, I would be healed. I was very irritated and angry and spoke against them. While this was happening, one day around 12 noon, I was lying down in the upstairs room of the house when I heard a voice saying, "I am the true God, Jesus Christ. If you come to me, you will be healed. You must serve me." I immediately came downstairs and told my wife, who was cooking, what had happened. Then I called those Christian friends and told them we would come to Church on Sunday.
1990 ம் ஆண்டு யூலை மாதம் 24ம் திகதி காலை வேலைக்குப் போய் சிறிது நேரத்தில் என்னுடைய நாக்கு உணர்ச்சி இல்லாமல் வருவது போலவும் கண்பார்வை சிறிது மங்குவது போலவும் இருந்தது உடனே மேலதிகாரியிடம் கூறிவிட்டு மனைவியையும் வேலையிடத்தில் போய் கூட்டிக்கொண்டு டாக்ரரிடம் போனோம் அவர்கள் உடனே அவசர மருத்துவமனைக்கு அனுப்பினார்கள் அங்கு நரம்பு சிகிச்சை டாக்ரர்கள் என்னை பரிசோதித்துவிட்டு இது ஒரு சிறிய பக்கவாதம் ஆனால் நீங்கள் மிகவும் அதிர்ஷ்டசாலி என்று கூறிவிட்டு அடுத்தநாள் நிபுணர் மருத்துவரிடம் அனுப்பினார்கள். அவர்களும் என்னை பரிசோதித்துவிட்டு இது குடும்ப பரம்பரை வியாதி என்றும் இதற்கு இப்போ மருந்து எதுவும் இல்லை நாளடைவில் மசாஜ் சிகிச்சை செய்து பார்க்கலாம் என அனுப்பிவிட்டார்கள். என்னுடைய குடும்பங்களில் பலருக்கு இப்படியான வருத்தங்கள் வந்து இறந்ததையும் நான அறிவேன். இப்பொழுது என் இடது பக்க கண் வாய் நாக்கு முதலியன இயங்கமுடியாமல் போய்விட்டன.
இப்பொழுது நான் வணங்கும் இந்து தெய்வங்களிடம் முறையிட்டு வேண்டுதல் செய்து எந்தப் பலனுமில்லாமல் இரண்டு கிழமைகளுக்கு மேலாகிவிட்டது. இந்த வேளையில் எங்களுடைய கிறிஸ்தவ நண்பர்கள் பலர் இயேசுவைப் பற்றி என்னிடம் கூறி அவர் பரிகாரியாகிய கர்த்தர் உண்மைக் கடவுள் அவரிடம் வந்தால் சுகம் கிடைக்கும் என்றார்கள் எனக்கோ மிகவும் எரிச்சலும் கோபமும் அவர்களையே எதிர்த்து பேசிவிட்டேன். இப்படியிருக்கும் போது ஒரு நாள் பகல் 12 மணியிருக்கும் நான் வீட்டின் மேல் அறையில் படுத்திருந்தேன் அப்பொழுது எனக்கு ஒரு சத்தம் கேட்கிறது நான்தான் உண்மைத் தெய்வம் இயேசுகிறிஸ்து என்னிடம் வந்தால் உனக்கு சுகம் கிடைக்கும். நீ எனக்கு ஊழியம் செய்ய வேண்டும் என்று கேட்டது. உடனே நான் கீழே வந்து நடந்த சம்பவத்தை சமையல் செய்து கொண்டிருந்த மனைவியிடம் கூறினேன். பின்பு அந்த கிறிஸ்தவ நண்பர்களிடம் போண் பண்ணி ஞாயிறு தேவாலயத்திற்கு வருவதாக கூறினோம்.
When we went to Church on Sunday, worship was going on. I was crying without knowing what was happening to me. After the worship, they prayed for me. From that day on, even though I was still sick, I had great peace in my heart. Two days later, on Tuesday morning, as usual, while washing my face, water stood in my mouth. If I didn't have great joy, the water would have flowed down without standing in my mouth because my mouth wouldn't close. I immediately looked in the mirror, closed and opened my eyes, and they worked properly too. I had great joy and immediately ran to my wife and told her. My wife immediately cried and prayed.
From that day on, I knew that the living God is Jesus Christ, and I threw away all the pictures and idols of Hindu gods in the house into the garbage. From that day on, I never missed a worship service at the church. This was a great miracle and wonder for my relatives and friends.
ஞாயிறு தேவாலயத்திற்கு போய் ஆராதனை நடைபெற்றுக்கொண்டிருந்த போது எனக்கு ஏதோ எல்லாம் செய்தது என்னையுமறியாமல் அழுதுகொண்டிருந்தேன். ஆராதனையின் பின் எனக்காக ஜெபித்தார்கள். அன்றிலிருந்து எனக்கு வியாதியாக இருந்தாலும் மனதில் ஒரு பெரிய சமாதானம் இருந்தது. இரண்டு நாள் கழித்து செவ்வாய்க்கிழமை காலை வழமைபோல் முகம் கழுவும் போது வாய்க்குள் தண்ணீர் நின்று விட்டது. எனக்கு பெரிய சந்தோஷம் இல்லாவிட்டால் வாய்க்குள் தண்ணீர் நிற்காமல் கீழே ஒழுகிவிடும் வாய் மூடுப்படாததினால். உடனே கண்ணாடியில் என் கண்ணை மூடி திறந்து பார்த்தேன் அதுவும் சரியாக வேலை செய்தது எனக்கோ பெரிய சந்தோஷம் உடனே மனைவியிடம் ஓடிப்போய் கூறினேன். மனைவி உடனே அழுது ஜெபம் பண்ணினா.
அன்றிலிருந்து ஜீவனுள்ள தேவன் இயேசுகிறிஸ்து தான் என்பதை அறிந்து வீட்டில் உள்ள எல்லா இந்து தெய்வங்களினதும் படங்கள் சிலைகள் எல்லாவற்றையும் குப்பையில் கட்டி வைத்துவிட்டேன். அன்றிலிருந்து தேவாலயத்திற்கு ஒரு ஆராதனை தவறாது போய்வந்தேன். என் உற்றார் உறவினர் நண்பர்களுக்கு இது ஒரு பெரிய அதிசயமான ஆச்சரியமாக இருந்தது.
During such times, when many preachers were giving messages, they would say that the Lord spoke to them. I was confused as to why the Lord did not speak to me. Then I thought, am I doing any sin? I gave up everything I knew to be sin and eagerly waited for months for the Lord to speak to me.
One day, on October 10, 1991, early in the morning, I woke up from sleep, went to the washroom, and came back to bed. Then I heard a loud voice: "I have blessed you." I was scared and got up. The time was 1:50 AM. Again the same voice: "I have blessed you; you are blessed." And again for the third time the same voice: "I have blessed you; you will be a blessing to many."
After hearing this voice, my wife, who was sleeping, said, "Did you see, Kanthan, how much the Lord loves us?" I also said it was true, prayed, and went back to sleep. In the morning, I asked my wife, "Why did you say last night that the Lord loves us so much?" Then she said, "When did I say that? I didn't say anything." I was confused because I was 100% awake and heard all these things, and she says she didn't say anything. What is this? I was thinking about this while driving to work. Then the Holy Spirit spoke to me: "I confirmed to you that I spoke to you through your sleeping wife." I had great joy and peace. This has been a great event in my life that I can never forget. This was a greater miracle for me than being healed from my illness.
இப்படியான வேளைகளில் அதிகமான போதகர்கள் செய்தி கொடுக்கும் போது கர்த்தர் என்னோடு பேசினார் என்று கூறுவார்கள். எனக்கோ ஒரே குழப்பமாக இருக்கும் ஏன் என்னோடு கர்த்தர் பேசுவதில்லை என்று பின்பு நான் யோசித்தேன் நான் ஏதும் பாவம் செய்கின்றேனோ என்று எனக்குத் தெரிந்த பாவமாகத் தோன்றின எல்லாவற்றையும் விட்டு விலகி கர்த்தர் என்னோடு பேச வேண்டும் என்று ஆவலாய் பல மாதங்கள் காத்திருந்தேன்.
ஒரு நாள் 1991ம் ஆண்டு அக்டோபர் மாதம் 10ம் திகதி அதிகாலை நான் நித்திரை விட்டெழுந்து கழிவறைக்கு போய்வந்து படுத்திருந்தேன் அப்பொழுது ஒரு பெரிய சத்தம் "நான் உன்னை ஆசீர்வதித்திருக்கிறேன்" என்று கேட்டது நான் பயந்து எழுந்திருந்தேன் அப்போ நேரம் 1மணி 50 நிமிடம் மீண்டும் அதே சத்தம் "நான் உன்னை ஆசீர்வதித்திருக்கிறேன் நீ ஆசீர்வாதமானவன்". மீண்டும் மூன்றாவது முறையாக அதே சத்தம் "நான் உன்னை ஆசீர்வதித்திருக்கிறேன் நீ பலருக்கு ஆசீர்வாதமாய் இருப்பாய்".
இந்த சத்தம் கேட்டு முடிய என் மனைவி நித்திரையாக படுத்திருந்தபடி கூறினா பார்த்தீங்களா காந்தன் கர்த்தர் எங்களில் எவ்வளவோ அன்பாக இருக்கிறார் என்று. அப்பொழுது நானும் உண்மை தான் என்று கூறிவிட்டு ஜெபித்துக் கொண்ட படுத்து நித்திரையாகி விட்டேன். காலையில் மனைவியிடம் கேட்டேன் இரவு ஏன் சொன்னீர் கர்த்தர் எங்களில் எவ்வளவோ அன்பாக இருக்கிறார் என்று அப்போ அவா கூறினா நான் எப்போ சொன்னேன் நான் ஒன்றும் சொல்லவில்லையே என்று. இப்போ எனக்கு ஒரே குழப்பமாக இருந்து ஏன்என்றால் 100 வீதம் நான் விழிப்பாக இருந்து இந்த சம்பவங்களை எல்லாம் கேட்டேன் இவா தான் ஒன்றும் சொல்லவில்லை என்கிறா என்ன இது என்று யோசித்துக் கொண்டு காரில் வேலைக்கு போய்க்கொண்டிருந்தேன். இப்போ பரிசுத்தஆவியானவர் என்னோடு பேசுகிறார் "நித்திரையாக இருந்த உன்னுடைய மனைவியைக் கொண்டு நான் உன்னோடு பேசியதை உறுதிப்படுத்தினேன்" என்று எனக்கு ஒரே சந்தோஷமும் சமாதானமும். இது இன்றைவரை மறக்கமுடியாத ஒரு பெரிய சம்பவமாக என் வாழ்க்கையில் அமைந்துவிட்டது. எனக்கு வருத்தம் சுகமானதைவிட இது தான் பெரிய அதிசயமாக இருந்தது.
On July 26, 1993, in obedience to the Lord's word, we started a home prayer meeting. Because the Lord performed great miracles and wonders in the home meetings, people started coming in large numbers. Because of this, we needed a place due to lack of space. The Lord miraculously showed us the church at 25 Sewells Road. We went and talked to them, and they gave us the hall to conduct worship at a very low rent.
The first worship service in the hall started on June 4, 1994. From that day until today, God has been performing miracles and wonders with His almighty hand and adding souls to the church. So far, by the grace of the Lord, we have released five song albums. More than a hundred Hindu and Catholic people have accepted Jesus as their personal Savior, been baptized, and joined the church.
26வது ஜூலை 1993ம் ஆண்டு கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தைக்கு கீழ்ப்படிந்து வீட்டு ஜெபக்கூட்டம் ஆரம்பமானது. வீட்டுக்கூட்டத்தில் கர்த்தர் பெரிய அதிசயங்களையும் அற்புதங்களையும் நடப்பித்தமையால் ஜனங்கள் அதிகமாக வரத் தொடங்கிவிட்டார்கள் இதனால் இடம் போதாமையால் ஒரு இடம் தேவை என ஜெபித்தோம். ஆண்டவர் ஆச்சரியமாக 25 Sewells Rd இல் உள்ள தேவாலயத்தைக் காட்டினார். அவர்களோடு போய்க் கதைத்தோம் அப்போ அவர்கள் மிகக்குறைந்த வாடகையில் ஆராதனை நடத்த ஆலயத்தை தந்துவிட்டார்கள்.
ஜூன் 4வது 1994 ம் ஆண்டு முதலாவது ஆராதனை ஆலயத்தில் ஆரம்பமானது அன்றிலிருந்து இன்றைவரை தேவன் தம்முடைய சர்வவல்லமையுள்ள கரத்தினால் அற்புதங்கள் அதிசயங்கள் நடப்பித்து ஆத்துமாக்களை சபையில் சேர்த்துக் கொண்டு வருகிறார். இதுவரை கர்தருடைய கிருபையால் ஐந்து பாடல் தொகுப்புகளை வெளியிட்டுள்ளோம். நூற்றுக்கும் அதிகமான இந்து கத்தோலிக்க மக்கள் இயேசுவை சொந்த இரட்சகராக ஏற்றுக் கொண்டு ஞானஸ்நானம் எடுத்து சபையில் சேர்ந்துள்ளார்கள்.
